edit change: I took the test again...one more time as a double blind control. It came up ENTP instead of ENFP. I think this is a better fit all things considered.
INFP in a Nutshell (The Healer )
INFPs are imaginative idealists, guided by their own core values and beliefs. To a Healer, possibilities are paramount; the realism of the moment is only of passing concern. They see potential for a better future, and pursue truth and meaning with their own individual flair.
INFPs are sensitive, caring, and compassionate, and are deeply concerned with the personal growth of themselves and others. Individualistic and nonjudgmental, INFPs believe that each person must find their own path. They enjoy spending time exploring their own ideas and values, and are gently encouraging to others to do the same. INFPs are creative and often artistic; they enjoy finding new outlets for self-expression.
What Makes the INFP Tick
INFPs value authenticity and want to be original and individual in what they do. They are often concerned with a search for meaning and truth within themselves. Following tradition holds little appeal for the INFP; they prefer to do their own exploration of values and ideas, and decide for themselves what seems right. INFPs are often offbeat and unconventional, but they feel no desire to conform. The INFP would rather be true to themselves than try to fit in with the crowd.
INFPs are accepting and nonjudgmental in their treatment of others, believing that each person must follow their own path. They are flexible and accommodating, and can often see many points of view. It is important to the INFP to support other people; however, the INFP may react strongly if they feel their own values are being violated. They especially hate being steamrolled by people who insist there is one right way to do things. INFPs want an open, supportive exchange of ideas. ***
side note: *** I can't tell you how much I hate this...with a passion!! There is always more than one way to skin a Cat. Why anyone would want to skin a Cat...is beyond me? lol There is NO such thing....as only ONE right way to do anything. Period!!! That is an illusion that only exists in the mind of the person who thinks this way. Where there's a will, there's always a way...always.
Recognizing the INFP
INFPs may initially seem cool, as they reserve their most authentic thoughts and feelings for people they know well. They are reflective and often spiritual, and often interested in having meaningful conversations about values, ethics, people, and personal growth. Typically curious and open-minded, the Healer continually seeks a deeper understanding of themselves and of the people around them. They are passionate about their ideals, but private as well; few people understand the depth of the INFP’s commitment to their beliefs.
INFPs are sensitive and empathetic, and engage themselves in a lifelong quest for meaning and authenticity. The mundane aspects of life are of less interest to this type, and they are more excited by interesting ideas than by practical facts. They typically accept others without question, and may take special interest in offbeat points of view or alternative lifestyles. They often have a special affection for the arts, especially the avant garde, as they love experiencing new concepts in self-expression.
Famous INFPs
Famous INFPs include Princess Diana, Audrey Hepburn, Fred Rogers, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Tori Amos, Morrissey, Chloe Sevigny, William Shakespeare, Bill Watterson, A.A. Milne, Helen Keller, Carl Rogers, and Isabel Briggs Myers (creator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)
INFP is the ninth most common type in the population. They make up:
4% of the general population
5% of women
4% of men
ENTP in a Nutshell (Visionary)
ENTPs are inspired innovators, motivated to find new solutions to intellectually challenging problems. They are curious and clever, and seek to comprehend the people, systems, and principles that surround them. Open-minded and unconventional, Visionaries want to analyze, understand, and influence other people.
ENTPs enjoy playing with ideas and especially like to banter with others. They use their quick wit and command of language to keep the upper hand with other people, often cheerfully poking fun at their habits and eccentricities. While the ENTP enjoys challenging others, in the end they are usually happy to live and let live. They are rarely judgmental, but they may have little patience for people who can't keep up.
What Makes the ENTP Tick
ENTPs are energized by challenge and are often inspired by a problem that others perceive as impossible to solve. They are confident in their ability to think creatively, and may assume that others are too tied to tradition to see a new way. The Visionary relies on their ingenuity to deal with the world around them, and rarely finds preparation necessary. They will often jump into a new situation and trust themselves to adapt as they go.
ENTPs are masters of re-inventing the wheel and often refuse to do a task the same way twice. They question norms and often ignore them altogether. Established procedures are uninspiring to the Visionary, who would much rather try a new method (or two) than go along with the standard.
Recognizing the ENTP
ENTPs are typically friendly and often charming. They usually want to be seen as clever and may try to impress others with their quick wit and incisive humor. They are curious about the world around them, and want to know how things work. However, for the ENTP, the rules of the universe are made to be broken. They like to find the loopholes and figure out how they can work the system to their advantage. This is not to say the Visionary is malicious: they simply find rules limiting, and believe there is probably a better, faster, or more interesting way to do things that hasn’t been thought of before.
The ENTP is characteristically entrepreneurial and may be quick to share a new business idea or invention. They are confident and creative, and typically excited to discuss their many ingenious ideas. The ENTP’s enthusiasm for innovation is infectious, and they are often good at getting other people on board with their schemes. However, they are fundamentally “big-picture” people, and may be at a loss when it comes to recalling or describing details. They are typically more excited about exploring a concept than they are about making it reality, and can seem unreliable if they don’t follow through with their many ideas.
Famous ENTPs
Famous ENTPs include Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Richard Feynman, Leonardo da Vinci, Niccolo Machiavelli, John Stuart Mill, Jon Stewart, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and Conan O’Brien
ENTP is one of the rarer types in the population. ENTPs make up:
3% of the general population
4% of men
2% of women
Popular Hobbies for the ENTP
Popular hobbies for the ENTP include continuing education, writing, art appreciation, playing sports, computers and video games, travel, and cultural events.
Quotes About ENTP
"ENTPs tend to be independent, analytical, and impersonal in their relations with people, and they are more apt to consider how others may affect their projects than how their projects may affect others."
- Isabel Briggs Myers, Gifts Differing
"ENTPs are the most reluctant of all the types to do things in a particular manner just because that is the way things have always been done."
"Don't tell an ENTP that we can't fly a rocket to Mars, build a 200-story skyscraper, or communicate over two-way wrist radios. That will be an invitation for the ENTP to prove you wrong."
- Otto Kroeger, Type Talk at Work
Interesting facts about the ENTP:
On personality trait scales, scored as Enterprising, Friendly, Resourceful, Headstrong, Self-Centered, and Independent
Least likely of all types to suffer heart disease and hypertension
Least likely of all types to report stress associated with family and health
Scored among highest of all types in available resources for coping with stress
Overrepresented among those with Type A behavior
Among highest of all types on measures of creativity
One of two types most frequent among violators of college alcohol policy
Among types most dissatisfied with their work, despite being among the types with highest income
Commonly found in careers in science, management, technology, and the arts
I didn't use to think that his was of much value to me especially because I was always coming up with two different types. This seemed vague and ambiguous and I discounted it for that reason. Now....I feel I', both, which is why the scores would vacillate between the two. In other words....I'm somewhere on the fence and can be both....the extroverted version...and the introverted version depending on? Depending on what is the only question that still remains? I've taken these tests in an effort for job placement etc... But as I now have come to understand in a very real way, this has more to do with me and my personality....than anything other criteria you could use. Saying....I have ADHD....and I'm an INFP / ENTP both. Which came first....the chicken or the egg?
As far as I'm concerned. It really doesn't matter. What matters most is this is my personality and who I am and this is very accurate way of describing me on paper. Almost if not, exactly.
If what they say about people with ADHD is true...."show me ONE person with ADHD.... I'll show you ONE person with ADHD."
As I'm seeing it.....this might account for why that is?
The question then becomes. Who are you with and which which ONE fits their personality? Once you know that...it might help you understand them better? One size....does not fit all even with having ADHD.
I put this under the communication section since.....knowing your audience is the first requirement to being heard and being understood yourself. Do you know your audience amd the person you are with? For that matter.....do you know yourself ? Think about it.

Do you know yourself ? Think about it....

Great question J..Much of what happens in our own lives and relationships could be dealt with in a much more positive manner if we knew ourselves better....The Why questions could be much easily answered....The reason I think self study isn't a high priority for many of us, is because of the stigma (or fear) we attach to coming face to face with the reality of our own make up....
Much of the conflict is my own relationship over the past 8 years is in direct correlation to my make up vs my wife's make up....I"m a HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) She is Clinical level ADHD...That automatically puts discomfort into our relationship under the most normal conditions....Understanding this is vital....

INFP or ENFP?
Submitted by Delphine on
J, you wrote: "I took the test again...one more time as a double blind control. It came up ENTP instead of ENFP"
Then you go on to describe the characteristics of INFP. Where did that come from? :) Anyway, I agree with you about the importance of understanding the unique characteristics of a person with ADHD.
I do appreciate the Myers-Briggs test. I am big on numerology myself! And astrology.
I recommend the free numerology readings at affinitynumerology.com.

Sorry....That Was Confusing Delphine

The INFP score has come up numerous times before. The other two...ENTP and ENFP are the ones that vacillate back and forth. Those are the two that seem to be on the fence. the INFP score has come up as often as the other two...which is why this was all so confusing to me and why I discounted it before. So really.....there are 3 scores that have come up consistently...to the point that on some tests....they even have stated that I'm on the fence....ENTP/ENFP.....which was NOT very useful for career placement? Not all that helpful? And then throw INFP in there which came up as many times as the other ones?
On any given day however.....it will be one of these 3 or better....on the fence ENTP/ENFP. But as others might see me and what fits better seem to be the ENTP winning out over the ENFP.
The last time I took the test....it was INFP. A few days ago.....it came up ENFP. The next day...it came up ENTP which is why I changed it.
In reality....all 3 fit to a point....but the ENTP seems to fit a little more closely...than the ENFP...but if you go further into for example...and really start down any of those categories you start to read more things that are like you...and more things that are not and that makes it a little easier to narrow it down if your on the fence.
I think what others see on the outside is more the INFP from the descriptions as other see me and more what I am like in a general sense when with other people and in relationships.
What others don't necessarily see but comes out of me....is the ENTP/ENFP side of me which is actually has more to do with how I feel inside and how I work internally. This side shows at work, in sports and the end product of how I think. It's definitely there and the part that most don't always see. When I change hats so to speak.....I'm ENTP all the way. This is the part of me...that will surprise people and has consistently...most of my life. The ENFP is in there too....but mostly as indicated...it's combination...not either one or the other separately. It's why this has always been vague to me...since I seem to adapt pretty easily as needed and change hats easily but always in these categories. That has stayed consistent for years now. Go figure?
Delphine....I have a personal theory on Astrology but I am reserved in putting much credence to it. Having said that....my personal thoughts and theory about Astrology is founded on less spiritual....and more on a possible physics explanation. I'd love to find out if my thinking or thoughts on this go along with what others might think as well. Any thoughts to this yourself?
I'm a Scorpio by the way...if you find this stuff interesting? And I the time of day I was born...was the exact same number as what I weighed.( exactly) I have no idea if that means anything but I thought that was at least....an interesting coincidence in numbers? lol

Hi J, interesting discussion

Hi J, interesting discussion on the validity of Myers-Briggs:
https://www.quora.com/What-does-it-say-about-you-if-you-get-a-different-...
I do find it surprising that you get results of both introversion and extroversion. I recall that you yourself claimed to be a real extrovert. Hmmmm...
My ADHD son thinks he is a "people person." But from experience living with him, he often seems to be more of an introvert than I am. It was hard to get used to his closing himself off in his room. Maybe I never really did get used to it. And I am someone who definitely needs her space.
My current roomie does that too...but as we have a much less intense connection, it doesn't bother me.
I resonate most with this author, on astrology:

If you've never had your natal horoscope interpreted by a reputable astrologer, I highly recommend it. You might be amazed!

According to My T.....I'm an Extrovert
Submitted by kellyj on
According to me and what I think now.....I'm really am both and I really am split down the middle. I've said this before...but I don't think my T is always 100% right all the time. Mostly he is....but this is not his big concern or ours when I see him. This also isn't "splitting" in psychological terms but based on how you determine either one. If we all exist on the sliding scale.....I'm smack in the middle between the two. I've always felt that way which is difficult to know until you really find this out.
Without getting too deep into my own personal theory on Astrology....I do give it some serious consideration but have not done any real research or the basis for it. I actually did spend a weekend with an Astronomy Professor once (an accidental occurrence while camping in the Mountains with a friend) and he gave us an impromptu short course on the stars since we were far from any city lights and could see them with an amazing clarity that night. As he gave us his lesson while pointing things out....he showed us where the actual Zodiac constellations were in reference to everything else. When you're actually standing there looking at them across the sky....you realize that they really are lined up with the time of year and the position of everything else.
It occurred to me that within the seasons, temperatures...along with the Sun (hours of light available)....everything is changing along with them including what animals do as well. All determined by the position of the planets, Moons gravity pulls etc....
So if you give any credence to Attachment Theory and the fact that we start connecting up within the first 40 minutes after we are born right away....you've got to wonder all the time you are growing inside your mothers womb and the external changes with those seasons and the energy that is happening all around you while you are still in there growing? If you could color all invisible rays and waves happening all the time: radio waves, micro-waves, UV light rays and everything going on all the time that we can't see.....it would be pretty busy up in the sky and all around you and it would look like a lasers going crazy all around you and you would be surrounded by and immersed in beams of light going everywhere in all directions? Just because you can't see it....doesn't mean it's not there you know? As a scientific explanation for a basis for Astrology....I can't discount the fact that no matter when we are born....there is something happening on any given day...directly related to the seasons, weather, temp. light available etc. The minute we are born.....we're affected by everything on a physical level. That would include the time of year and the day you are born as well? That might also include the effect these things have base on when we are conceived to? Without any more than just my own personal thoughts about this like I just said......I can certainly be open to explain yet another thing that affects us all that most might not even consider? I considered this immediately....while our professor friend we had just met....offered his knowledge while we were there listening to his expert dissertation. He was really into it...and loved sharing what he knew. It was a great to have a real professor on the topic....hanging out with us and enjoying a beer or two with us while enjoying the night sky together. That was a fun camping adventure...with an added bonus on top of it.
I just looked up my Sign again for fun and here's what one site had to say.....
Scorpio Strength Keywords:
- Loyal
- Passionate
- Resourceful
- Observant
- Dynamic
Scorpio Weakness Keywords:
- Jealous
- Obsessive
- Suspicious
- Manipulative
- Unyielding
Scorpio and Independence:
Scorpios are fiercely independent. They are able to accomplish anything they put their mind to and they won't give up. They are perfectly suited to being on their own. They are not social butterflies like some other zodiac signs and some actually prefer to live on their own that way there is never any issue of who controls what at home, they like to be in control.
Scorpio and Friendship:
Relationships with Scorpio are always complicated, just like the person, their relationships are a series of extremes, they can even be downright moody for no apparent reason. Scorpios are known for their possessiveness and jealousy but on the other hand, they are extremely loyal. Scorpios have an excellent memory and combined with an inability to let things go, they can hold a grudge against someone who did them harm forever, in fact a Scorpio rarely if never forgives and forgets. They will even go as far as get vengeance on the person. On the other hand, they will always remember a kind gesture forever and repay it. Any kind selfless gesture done to a Scorpio will gain trust and respect which is extremely important to them in any relationship, either romantic or not. The best advice is to be honest with a Scorpio friend and in return, you will gain an amazing friend you will never forget and who will be loyal to you and never make false promises. Their truthful and shocking sense of humor if different than that of any other zodiac sign and the Scorpio makes an amazing, powerful interesting friend that can be trusted.
Scorpio and Business:
Scorpios make excellent doctors, surgeons, scientists and leaders, they are perfectly suited to any form of business that makes a difference in the world, greatly impacts people and society and a most importantly, Scorpio has to be in a power position, this is why these careers are suited to the Scorpio, they all demand one person in supreme control giving orders and leading a unit of people/practices. In business, Scorpios tend to easily gather wealth, they make very wise business decisions and they are very conservative about spending their money. Scorpios are known for making money and hiding it, they will not announce it due to to fear that others will take the same route and becoming a possible competitor, or worse try to use the Scorpio to their advantage to use them for their money.
Scorpio and Temperament:
Scorpios are extremely ambitious, persistent and determined which is shown through a power hungry, controlling attitude. Not in a stubborn sense however, because a Scorpio will work for what they want and control will justified reasons. This is obvious to any onlooker. A Scorpio never gives up, they are so determined to reach their goal. The key to this success is their flexibility. They are able to re-survey a situation and take a different approach if necessary. This makes them very adaptable and versatile. Scorpios are fierce competitors, combined with their powers of observation and their excellent memory, they will recall facts and when necessary, bring them to the table at the time of need. They will win justly, with proper facts and arguments to support their thoughts and opinions. Scorpios are excellent at restoring order to a chaotic situation and they are just as capable of manipulating for their own greed and benefit. The un-evolved Scorpio is a very dangerous person because they use their powers to benefit only them and step on other people in order to satisfy their own greed.
Scorpio Deep Inside:
Scorpio is the most misunderstood of all astrology signs. They are all about intensity and contradictions. They like to be aware of a situation and always know what's going on, figuring this out with their probing mind, on the other hand, they are interested in the occult, the paranormal, conspiracy theories and other types of similar unknown mysteries. They are very capable of hiding their true feelings and motivations, they often have ulterior motives or a hidden agenda.
Scorpios are all about control, they need to be in control at all times. To be out of control is very threatening, even dangerous to the Scorpio's psyche, when they control, they feel safe.
Scorpios are very emotional, their emotions are intensified, both good emotions and bad. Negative emotions of jealousy and resentment are hallmarks of this turbulent astrology sign. On the other side, Scorpios are well known for their forceful and powerful drive to succeed and their amazing dedication. Scorpios are constantly trying to understand their emotions through finding a deeper purpose in life.
Scorpios are very intuitive, but not as in a psychic sense, more as intuitive into the human mind, they have a great understanding of the mystery and the power of the human mind.
Scorpios have a fear of failure which they keep hidden extremely well, should their confrontation not be successful, or their career fail, they will simply use their adaptive skill to quickly move and and leave the bad experience behind. Do not ever expect them to fess up or share their tale with anyone however because this shows signs of weakness and Scorpio always wins, they are always the self-proclaimed best! One of the reasons they seem like they always accomplish their goals is because they set tangible short-term goals that they know they can accomplish, they know what they are capable of and this is what they go for.
Scorpios are very weary about trusting anyone, a person needs to gain their trust and this gets built up over time and once all the 'trust tests' have been passed, Scorpio loves deeply and intensely. Underneath the cool exterior, energies and emotions are constantly flowing but the Scorpio deals with this be channeling this into useful activities, hobbies, relationships or a career. This is never apparent to the outside observer but knowing this fact explains why Scorpios are so passionate about whatever it is that they are undertaking. Scorpios have powerful instincts and they trust their own gut feeling which is another reason why a Scorpio seldom fails.
The ongoing lesson in life for those born under the Scorpio zodiac signs, is to channel their powerful energy into positive goals and not succumbing to the darker forces in life such as manipulation and greed, they will then have great success in their life and have a clean, happy conscience and a circle of friends they can trust and hold dear to them.
Scorpio in a Nutshell:
Scorpio is the astrology sign of extremes and intensity. Scorpios are very deep, intense people, there is always more then meets the eye. They present a cool, detached and unemotional air to the world yet lying underneath is tremendous power, extreme strength, intense passion and a strong will and a persistent drive. Scorpios have a very penetrative mind, do not be surprised if they ask questions, they are trying to delve deeper and figure things out and survey the situation. They always want to know why, where and any other possible detail they can possibly know. Scorpio's are very weary of the games that other people try to play and they are very aware of it. Scorpios tend to dominate and control anyone that lets them, or anyone that they find weak. The person that a Scorpio respects and holds close to them is treated with amazing kindness, loyalty and generosity. On the outside, a Scorpio has great secretiveness and mystery. This magnetically draws people to them. They are known to be controlling and too ambitious but only because they need control for this makes them feel safe.
What it's Like to Date a Scorpio Woman:
Scorpio woman is very emotional, very demanding and very demonstrative. She is full of flair and intrigue, a fascinating woman that the strong A-type personality male will adore, for she presents the right amount of challenge with the right amount of rewards. The Scorpio woman is the ultimate seductive, flirtatious woman. She won't give a man her heart very easily because she is weary of trusting another person. The man will have to go through a series of 'mental testes' in order for the relationship to get solid and close. She may not show it, but she wants a close committed relationship. Ion order for this, the man has to be trusted, has to be affectionate and never try to control her. She is very possessive but the Scorpio woman is so full of mystery, sensuality and passion that most men do not mind being possessed by her.
What it's Like to Date a Scorpio Man:
TheScorpio male is unlike any other man of any other astrology sign. He is so unique that a seperate section is needed to explain about dating theScorpio man. Unlike most other zodiac signs, what it's like to date a Scorpio woman is very similar to dating a Scorpio man. The main difference is that instead of presenting a powerful feminine force like the woman, the Scorpio man presents a strong masculine, sexual force. The Scorpio man is easy to seduce and take home for the night, it is much harder to form a real relationship with him. The Scorpio man is very sensitive and feels lonely and unfulfilled, but he will never let a woman know this. Behind closed doors, be sensitive and affectionate to him appeal to his emotions only if you want a close relationship with him do not attempt to lead him on because he will see this and never forgive you. Toying with a Scorpio male is an unwise move. He will be jealous and possessive and will never allow a woman to control him. Let him take the lead because the Scorpio male is truly a fascinating person, you can never go wrong when he is planning the night! Scorpio men are very moody and their moods change like a pendulum on a clock. Stand by his side in these times and it will pass. Do not nag on him for he has a hard enough time understanding his own emotions. Scorpio men make excellent protectors and you will always feel safe under his radiating, passionate and energetic power.
How to Attract Scorpio:
Never be fake with a Scorpio, they can see it a mile away. Be genuine with your comments and listen to them attentively, (they always have something interesting to say so this is never a problem!) Do not try to hide things from them or tease them, they always have to know what is going on. Remember, they are the only ones that are allowed to tease and present the mystery and intrigue! They like frankness and honesty, speak your mind they will respect that. Scorpios are interested in almost all activities, so finding something to do should never be a problem. They are unpredictable and could change course of the date mid-way though so take these last minute changes with a smile and try something different. They like people who are not afraid to ditch a plan and try another. In conversation, do not tell them that their opinions are wrong or shoot them down, they are too proud for this and even if it is a joke, they might not take it with the humor that you meant. Never try to control them but do not be the damsel in distress either, they like strong, real people with driving ambitious personality like theirs.
Scorpio Erogenous Zone:
The genitals are everybody's erogenous zone but since the Scorpio is the most sexually charged of all zodiac signs, the genitals are extremely sensitive and will ignite a passionate fire that cannot be extinguished. Stroke and caress these areas lightly. There is no wrong way to stimulate this area, but be gentle.
Sex With Scorpio:
Sex with Scorpio is a total emotional and physical experience with passion and intensity. They have amazing stamina and can last all night long, round after round. Scorpio is the zodiac sign that is the most likely to act out a sexual fantasy. Most people will talk about it but the Scorpio will do it, they will fully throw themselves into the role. Do not suggest a fantasy to a Scorpio unless you plan to do it! Most Scorpios are direct and forceful and they seem to be an expert at what they do. They continue to seduce you even as the act continues. A thrilling experience not for the faint of heart!
I can't say everything in the details here is accurate and some of it would be a real stretch if not ridiculous with me.... but in a more general sense....it's pretty scary close. For example.... I've never been the jealous type (not at all really?) And not possessive, dominating or controlling with others at all And I'm a pretty poor manipulator and a pretty unskilled there as well. Those would tend to be more extroverted qualities I'm thinking? Applying those things to an introvert however....I can see how I could apply them to myself...for myself. Excluding the jealous part unless you count your teenage years when you are in relationships for the first time ever where no one is good with these things and mostly....we were all fumbling at first and did everything wrong at least once or for a little while you know? lol
And the things it said about power hungry, needing to be the supreme leader or in command or control...is so much not like me it's not even funny. lol That along with accumulating wealth, being secretive and mysterious and the specific details all sounds so dramatic! All I can say to that is..."give me a break."...this is so not me!! lol
But more loosely and less dramatically described....these qualities and the personality description...is surprisingly accurate if you were to apply them differently than the way they are described here? Even scary in some real ways that I really do recognize clearly and distinctly myself ( stand out things I've always know) and just how accurate this really is when I see those things in me. If you compare it to the briggs-meyer results for example....you can definitely see some remarkable comparisons all things considered? Just how they came up with that to know...is what is really fascinating to me? Observation over time I'm assuming. But then.....WHY? lol That part...was absolutely right on the money! lol

The Sun sign does carry a lot of significance, but there are also many other factors in the natal horoscope. The most influential are Sun, Moon and Ascendant (the sign rising on the eastern horizon at the time of birth).
If you don't want to consult with a professional astrologer right now, there are computer-generated horoscopes from which you can learn a lot. This is a good site:

I'm a Cancer Sun sign btw...or a nicer way to put it is Moon Child :)

I appreciate the Astrological input. What is very true about me is my open mindlessness and non judgmental nature. This much I know about myself and have never been any different. So this was a fun and interesting exercise which proved to be extremely accurate. Again....HOW it's accurate...is beyond me? You were wondering about the INFP test scores? And the Healer? And myself, still wondering about my many contradictions as well? You might find this interesting Delphine.....since I have yet to be able to interpret this all very well....I thought I'd share it with you in case you were at all wondering just for fun......specifically for you here. I do find this fascinating in that it is for the most part....extremely accurate. Thanks....it gives me something new to explore:)
Sun in Scorpio, Moon in Virgo Internally you aspire to power more than anything else. However, the personality role you have developed does not insure reaching this goal. Your personality is expressed through service to others, usually dealing with details of organization and arrangement. Internally you feel resentful about life that fate has dealt you. You should turn your aspirations and energy in the right direction and reconcile yourself to your personality functions. You do possess a fine, analytical mind, and through concentration on this and other aspects of your character you can reach your goals in a way that will yield at least relative satisfaction.
Ascendant in Gemini, Mercury in the Seventh House At the time of your birth the zodiacal sign of Gemini was ascending in the horizon. Its ruler Mercury is located in the seventh house. Your ascending sign and the position of its ruler offers general information concerning the overall trends of the course of life and complements the data pertaining to your temperament, given previously by the analysis of the combined positions of the Sun and Moon. Gemini is the third sign of the zodiac and among its key psychological influences over life there are the following: intellectual activities, humanism, and abhorrence of violence, constant doubt of all mental concepts, hesitancy and academic interest.
People whose ascending sign is Gemini usually appear as elegant, slender, expressive, and with very humane facial expressions. They are individuals with some literary inclination, dexterous with manual labors and crafts, apt, able, witty, inventive and very curious and subtle. A Gemini in the ascendant will always distinguish himself by his rather eloquent speech and writing, his much occupied daily life, and his perpetual lack of an ability to effect swift and determined decisions. As a Gemini, you should try to compensate your hesitancy with fast thinking. Your disposition to life-events will be kind and generous (within bounds) but not always fortunate, because of too much vacillation in decision-making circumstances. You possess the capability of rising in life because of your own intellectual assets. Your mind is open and generous, and your intellect self-sufficient; yet on many occasions, judgment will appear as "twisted". You should restrain useless discussion, strife, and unprofitable argument as they're your worst enemies. To achieve success, you should stress your literary and scientific studies, give free hand to your brilliant intellect in warranted circumstances, and apply your diligent nature to writing, traveling, communications, and human analysis.
In all these activities you are at your best. Mercury, the ruler of your life, appears in the seventh house, that of marriage and partnership. In a more subtle manner this house signifies the subjective aspect of your nature in contrast with the objective side. Your life will, therefore, be very influenced by how you associate with others, and will move to the beat of non-egotistical factors. Your ruler in the seventh house stands for the realization of human unions, commercial and otherwise, where the partner is intelligent, and at times somewhat sectarian or unreliable due to eager acquisitiveness. You should always try to clearly state your intentions, as well as demand the same treatment, in order to avoid suffering misunderstandings as mentioned earlier.
Moon in the Fifth House The Moon was found in the fifth house at the time of your birth. This indicates that you will participate actively in business speculations with many changes occurring in this respect. You were born with a knack for dealing with people and with the ability to communicate with them, particularly in connection with business enterprises. Your emotional nature is very much geared to your love of pleasure, and you possess a very curious aptitude which may bring you financial gains as well as pleasures in business. In spite of the positive qualities you have, the fact of the matter is that in love you are very changeable, unstable, or too preoccupied with trivialities. Your love feelings are very well developed and lead to strong drives for sensations and passionate tendencies which unfortunately are not directed to one object alone. It is possible that throughout life you may be connected with small and numerous business investments with a fairly good return.
Sun in the Sixth House The Sun was found in your sixth house at the time of birth. This position indicates that in all your activities you will be subjected to the impositions of the environment. The overall orientation of your existence is that of accomplishment through fulfillment of professional responsibilities. In matters of health, this astrological combination is not ideal, as the vital energies of the Sun here have less power, causing you to feel an occasional lack of physical strength. You are, however, inclined to be careful with your health. In your dealings with work associates and subordinates you will show dignified, strong, but open-handed attitudes. You work with a well-developed sense of pride in everything you do.
Mercury Opposition Ascendant Mercury opposition the Ascendant means that whenever possible, you try to share the opinions of the people you associate with. Fearing you will be rejected, you wait until you have heard what your associates say before you express your views. Actually, you are trying too hard to be liked; you would be more respected if you were more sincere and less conniving. With your gift of effective communication, you would be most successful in an occupation that requires close, intimate contact with people. Though you really like and need people, you do not want to feel obligated to them. You are independent and resent having your freedom restricted, even temporarily.
Saturn in the Seventh House Saturn was found in seventh house at the time of birth. In your dealings with others, you are going to present a very cautious personality and you will work slowly towards the achievement of security. The environment will be a very restricting factor in your life; the same limitations that hinder your relationships with others will emerge in a narrowness of reception to your ideas and emotions. This indicates that the key to more spiritual and material development lies in your response to the several tests destined for you which consist of patiently enduring difficulties through human relationships. You should remember that Saturn does not lend a propensity to be demonstrative in an emotional sense. It does, in those individuals with whom you will start a lifelong relationship, give a sense of duty and stability of emotions. Yet you are going to experience some sorrow throughout your life in a relationship. This is mostly going to consist of the several limitations that this state is imposing upon your personal freedom. The key to a better integration of your existence lies in the ability to view these obstacles and binds with philosophical resignation. Venus in the Eighth House Venus was found in your eighth house at the time of birth. This is a favorable position regarding the possibilities of financial gain through businesses owned by your partner or by associates.
Psychologically, you are going to find many harmonious conditions in your sexual relationships. If your inner growth is such that your vital energies are oriented toward spiritual rather than material pleasures, then you will arrive at gratification and happiness through inquiry into the mysteries of life and death. You should have some excellent opportunities for progress in your financial and social condition during your middle age or when you finally stabilize your life through marriage or any other type of close relationship.

Thanks for sharing J. I also have Moon in Virgo, and Mercury as ruler of my ascendant.
Your Saturn in the seventh sure seems apropos re what you have shared of your marriage. "This indicates that the key to more spiritual and material development lies in your response to the several tests destined for you which consist of patiently enduring difficulties through human relationships."
For help interpreting your results, again, consulting with a professional astrologer would be a good idea.
Astrology, like numerology, is an esoteric discipline. So, unless you have a basic understanding of esotericism, yes, it is confounding to get how this can be so accurate!
From one of the links I posted for you:
The horoscope shows in symbolic form the quality of the moment at which an individual enters the world, in other words, how the primal principles are weighted and interrelated at that moment. This horoscope is his task and study plan which is there for him to carry out during the course of his life. Every so-called constellation (by which astrologers mean a grouping of principles) embodies a particular task or problem.
The numerologist Matthew Oliver Goodwin was a graduate of MIT and was similarly puzzled as to how numerology worked so well to describe characteristics of people and events. But he had to face the fact that it did! Maybe that is the next thing for you to explore :)
