Hi, my husband has been diagnosed with ADD. He's in denial of the impact that it's had on my life and believes it just means he has difficulty with concentration. He has decided to do CBT treatment to help him manage his ADD. Does anyone if these treatments improve the emotional aspects, impulsivity, flare ups, mood swings etc?
Why not just go to a doctor?

CBD calms you down, for sure. But ADHD medication prescribed and monitored by a doctor has been around for years and is proven to work. I've tried CBD myself, it's kind of like Valium, but I wouldn't take it in place of medication prescribed by a doctor. The lady I spoke to at the CBD store was very knowledgeable and smart and made great recommendations, but I'm not sure she even has a college degree. You want an actual medical professional.

Hi thanks for your comment. CBT in UK is abbreviation for Cognitive behavioural therapy. He's refusing medication and wants to do it holistically.
OH! Hahahaha!

I'm sorry! I'm so used to people suggesting stuff like essential oils and CBD that I just read that. Yeah, CBT is fantastic. He should still try medication, but that's a good start.

My fiance found a good therapist who specialized in ADHD and cognitive behavioral therapy. He said it was the best thing he did.
Working with her helped him much more than being on medication ever did. He is no longer on medication and has not been on medication since we've been together
