This is probably just going to be a rant, but I hate facebook for what it has done to our relationship, though if it wasn't facebook it would probably be something else.
I'm sick of being ignored while he sits on facebook chatting to other people. I'm sick of the lack of intimacy and sex, what kind of a relationship is that. It is worse that having a cardboard cut out because at least that cannot hurt you by chatting to other people including other women online. It's never him, it's always me and me having a go at him, he is always the victim he is not responsible for anything he does.......I'm just sick to death of the lot of it.
Facebook

I completely understand. We actually deactivated both of our accounts recently, and I have to say it has been a HUGE help. While fb can be fun at times, there are ALWAYS ppl hitting on both of us, even though we are listed as engaged, and there are usually people who try to make up stuff to start trouble. With the ADHD, he can really get sucked in, for hours, and he tends to take it personally when ppl try to start trouble, instead of recognizing them for what they are.
Perhaps you and your hubby can temporarily deactivate? Just take a break for a few weeks/months?
Thank you

Facebook causing major issues

Hysterical, sorry you are going through this. I honestly believe Facebook has been a SERIOUS DETRIMENT to relationships all around the world. It's been proven that FB has been the catalyst for many, many divorces and affairs. I think FB needs more policing, and/or needs to be shut down, because it certainly has NOT been good for people. Yes, there's been the "fun" part of it, but it has caused many more problems than it's worth, I think. Plus, employers use it to canvass people they are going to hire, and the government uses it to keep TABS on people. I think it should be shut down permanently
Facebook can't be "shut down"....there's nothing "wrong" with it

The fact that some people misuse Facebook does not make FB "bad" or "wrong".
Yes, people use FB to look up "old flames" and then they'll reconnect with them, and then affairs start....but that is not FB's fault.
People use their phones to sext other people, that doesn't make phones wrong. People use their jobs and business trips to have affairs, but that doesn't make "jobs" or " business trips" wrong.
People have to take responsibility for their actions. Facebook can't prevent married people from looking up
"old flames" or even contacting "new people".
My sibling is a therapist, and yes, she has said that many, many marriages have broken up because one spouse makes contact with an old flame and then those two "get together" and leave their marriages. But, that isn't FB's fault. It's not a car's fault if you drink and drive.
