Very individual

.. what works for one may not work for another, depending on genomics and personal diet, responses etc. BTW we know that my husband has non-optimal response to stimulants and therefore needs higher doses. Everyone is different.
We have tried many meds, settled on Adderall currently plus a couple of others for anxiety and mood but we expect (he and I) that we must be fluid as chemistry adapts and doses must therefore be varied or meds changed. I recommend Daniel Amen's 'Change your brain, change your life' and some of his other books for good lay-person documentation of meds according to ADHD types. From there go for the med/pharmacology/genomics books. It is helpful(!) to find a psychiatrist who knows or is particularly interested in adult ADHD.
Thanks
